Potato & Oats Cutlet

Hi Friends !!!

Hope you all are doing good.

Today I am going to share with you this wonderful and healthy cutlet recipe. Its  very easy to make and you can have it as a evening snack or your can give it  to your children in their lunchbox.

For this you need :

Potatoes (Bolied) - 4 nos
Oats - 1 cup
(Here I have used Masala Oats)
Finely Chopped Large Onion - 1 no\
Few julians of Ginger
Green Chillies finely chopped - according to taste
Red Chilli Powder - 2tsp
Roasted Zeera Powder - 1tsp
Garam Masala - 11/2 tsp
Aamchoor Powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Flax Seeds - 1 tsp
Salt - according to taste

Method

First of all peel the potatoes and keep aside. Now slightly roast the oats. Mix only half cup of oats and keep the rest aside. Now add chopped onions, green chillies, julians of ginger and all the masalas. Mix it properly. It the mixture is too soft then you can add little bit of cornflour.

Now make small round balls from this mixture and flatten them with your palms. Spread the leftover oats in a plate. If you want you can also add some bread crumbs to this to give it more crunch. Roll these tikkis on to the oats & bread crumb mixture and shallow fry it  in a non-stick pan from both sides.

Your potato & oats cutlet are ready. You can serve it with tomato ketchup or green chutney.

This recipe is a nice way of feeding your children oats which they normally do not like. Flax seeds is yet another healthy ingredient which makes it more health friendly.

Do try this at your home and let me know how it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by.

Have a nice day !!!
